The paper reports on a molecular dynamics study of the effect of vibrations on acoustic emission in an indented iron crystal by analyzing force fluctuations, energy variation, and defect formation under loading. The force signal reveals an increase in its amplitude and power spectrum as well as a decrease in median frequency under vibrational loading. The rationale behind all these changes is likely the dependence between the vibration amplitude and the total energy of the system.
