Using molecular dynamics simulations, we show that the dynamics of the electrical double layer depends strongly on the wetting properties of the liquid on the walls. In the wetting case, we recover the standard immobile Stern layer description, and electrokinetic effects are controlled by the electrostatic properties of the system. In the non- wetting case however, the Stern layer disappears and electrokinetic effects are considerably amplified by the appearance of a slippage of the liquid at the wall.
