In this work, we report the observation of a kinked structure in single- layer graphene through phonon wave packet simulations. The observed kinked structure agrees very well with the tanh-form solution of the soliton wave, and its group velocity increases with increasing kink amplitude, which suggests that the kinked structure has a soliton nature. This conclusion is further supported by the separate soliton wave packet simulations, in which consistent results with the phonon wave packet simulations are obtained. Our study provides a useful platform to study the soliton wave transport in realistic materials. (C) 2022 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
