LAMMPS forum on MatSci.org

In 2021, LAMMPS joined the Materials Science Community Discourse website as a forum. The forum is the main place for communication of the LAMMPS users and developer community.

The LAMMPS forum has multiple sub-categories:

The forum replaces the lammps-users mailing list which was discontinued on June 30th, 2022.

Ways to use the LAMMPS forum

• Matsci.org hosts forums for dozens of materials science related codes and tools. This means you can use it to connect with users of other materials modeling codes and tools, many of which are related to the same kinds of problems LAMMPS is used for.
• The LAMMPS forum has multiple sub-categories as shown above. Please note that the sub-category with the archive of the LAMMPS mailing list is automatically updated as new messages appear. It can be searched from the forum, but is read-only (i.e. you cannot respond and thus forum messages are not gatewayed to the mailing list).
• To post a new message or respond to another message, you must join the forum and login. Just click the MatSci.org "sign-up" button. You can read or search old forum threads without joining.
